Responsibilities

• Install, test and troubleshoot Linux-based server components.
• Install and test Kubernetes-based services for resiliency and geo-redundancy.
• Validate installation, upgrade, maintenance and operations procedures for Linux/Kubernetes-based systems.
• Assist in the performance of load-testing compute clusters while monitoring for performance degradation and errors.

Qualifications

• Linux/Kubernetes background
• 3+ years browser/desktop applications
• Must know the following tools: Jira, Slack, Confluence TestFlight, App Store, App Center, Linux user level familiarity
• Containers (Kubernetes, KubeSpray, Docker, K3s)
• Git, Bitbucket, Bitbucket Pipelines
• Dashboard, Modeling (Grafana, Kibana, Loki, ElasticSearch, Fluentd, Prometheus)
• Security (Nginx, SSL, PKI infrastructure; X.509 certificates)
• Load testing using Javascript
• Cloud Provider terminology and deployment models (on-prem, public cloud, and hybrid)
• Linux; shell scripting and network admin
• Kubernetes Clusters
  • Deployment using Helm Chart
  • Performance tuning (metrics, logs, dashboards, etc.)
  • Data movement between clusters
  • Storage (Rancher, VMWare, OpenEBS, Longhorn)

Hands-on testing of “Push to Talk” applications and Voice over IP, IP Networking
