Role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Developer/Architect to join our high-performing team. This person may work remotely within the US, along with the rest of the Instant Connect Engineering Team.

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, computer science/engineering
10+ years of software development and architecture experience, solid recent experience with mobile development (Android and/or hybrid with iOS)
Expert-level experience with Android Native Development
Some Windows development experience in C#, .NET, and WPF (or UWP), Microsoft Visual Studio, Native Desktop Development
Experience integrating multiple APIs within real-time systems
Agile / Scrum / Kanban methodology
High degree of professionalism and attention to detail, outstanding organizational abilities
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop relationships, and interact with all levels of management
Builds positive working relationships across team boundaries, with an infectious “can do” attitude, and a willingness to adapt based on feedback and an evolving understanding of the problem to be solved – proactively establishes relationships with the team
Able to support engineers, customers, and support staff when issues arise
Collaborates with application developers to ensure alignment between the platform and the software that runs atop it
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Comfortable with ambiguities, able to “function in the gray,” patient
Resourcefulness, efficiency, initiative, and a strong sense of ownership, start-up mindset, able to work autonomously with little guidance
Strong team player, strong written and verbal communication, ability to work with a collocated team
Nice to have: Military vendor experience, Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) experience
Nice to have: Dart/Flutter development experience
Nice to have: Experience publishing apps to the Apple and Google app stores
Nice to have: Some native iOS development, Swift and/or Kotlin programming skills
Nice to have: integrating hardware, e.g. Bluetooth/Bluetooth Low Energy devices, on-phone hardware sensors, customer external hardware – Raspberry Pi or Arduino
